Dr Tom
Resident in Veterinary Ophthalmology, BVSc MANZCVS
Tom grew up in far north Queensland and graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2015. Initially he spent 5 years in mixed general practice in central Queensland; working with a wide range of large and production animal species in addition to a regular small animal caseload. A further 2 years in Brisbane general practice followed, and Tom found himself increasingly interested in all things eyes. Tom spent some time with the local ophthalmology specialists in his home state and in 2019 completed an ophthalmology professional development course. In 2023 he decided to make the interstate move to take up an internship with Melbourne Eye Vet. Outside of work Tom enjoys soccer, beach volleyball and collecting music. He is also looking forward to sampling some of Melbourne’s local craft breweries. |
