MEET THE TEAM

Bron
Veterinary Ophthalmic Nurse
Bron has worked in the veterinary ophthalmic field for over 11 years. She has a real passion for animal eye diseases and is always keen to learn about new surgical techniques being developed and how they can benefit animals when other options have been exhausted. Bron is most interested in dermoids, lens luxations and iris cysts. She has three dogs call Geordie, Willow and Bert.

Georgina
Veterinary Ophthalmic Nurse
Georgina has worked as a veterinary ophthalmic nurse for over 11 years and has been nursing for 20 years. Her love for animals has kept her in the industry and she finds ophthalmology very rewarding, especially cataract surgery when patient's regain their sight. Georgina has two dogs - an Australian Shepherd called Izzie and a Maltese X Shih Tzu called Wilson, along with two cats and a budgie named Bob.

Veterinary Ophthalmic Nurse
​Alyssa is a qualified veterinary nurse and has worked in veterinary ophthalmology for several years. She has a particular interest in nursing & medicating surgery patients and enjoys expanding her knowledge of different eye diseases. She has an English Staffordshire bull terrier named Jaxon.

Kelly
Veterinary Ophthalmic Nurse
Kelly is new to the veterinary ophthalmic field after switching from a 15 year career with Victoria Police as a Forensic Officer. She recently completed her veterinary nursing studies, and now enjoys learning all aspects of eye diseases and surgical procedures.  Kelly loves helping our patients and if she gets a tail wag, paw, cuddle or purr during their visit she is one happy nurse! Kelly has a very loved and spoilt kelpie cross called Rylee.

Elisha
Veterinary Ophthalmic Nurse
Elisha is a recently qualified veterinary nurse who has had 6 months experience in general practice before moving to ophthalmic nursing. Academically, Elisha has a degree in Science, majoring in Zoology. Before becoming a nurse she has worked as a teacher, focusing on biology. She has a passion for animals, particularity the domestic variety and can be found after hours cuddling her family pet Peanut.

Veterinary Nurse

​Jess is currently studying a Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing at La Trobe university and is fresh to the nursing world. She is enthusiastic about learning and developing new skills. Ophthalmology is a new found passion which she has found super interesting. When not at the practice, Jess is spoiling her two guinea pigs Anders and Stain.

Sarah
Veterinary Nurse
Sarah is an accomplished Veterinary Nurse who has seven years of experience working in General Practice, in addition to a shorter term as a surgical nurse at a Specialist Referral Hospital in the Surgery Department. Sarah is extremely passionate about patient care and relishes in the challenges of ophthalmic surgical nursing and anaesthesia. When she is not at work Sarah loves to spend her free time painting, beach walking, and spending time with family (and her English Cocker Spaniel Poppy, of course! )

Penny
Veterinary Nurse

​Penny is a foster carer in a rescue group since 2014. This has motivated her to pursue her dream to become a veterinary nurse.  Penny is a recent qualified veterinary nurse who has had 1-year experience in mixed practice before moving to ophthalmic nursing.  She enjoys learning all aspects of pet’s eye disease.  Outside work, she loves hanging out with friends, and enjoying the great outdoor with her Kelpie cross, Akuma.

Veterinary Student

​Casey is a current Veterinary Medicine student at the University of Melbourne who has developed a passion for ophthalmology while she has been working with us. Casey often spends her free time at the clinic watching cases and surgery. However when she is not indulging in ophthalmology Casey enjoys spends time with her friends and family including her Golden Retriever George and cat Harli.
